Tree Appraisals

Knowing what type of tree you have on your property can already be tough enough, so most don’t know where to start when putting a dollar value on a tree. Tree appraisals are typically used to indicate the tree’s value to its site after the tree was removed or damaged. Previous site reviews and records, witnesses, and tree assessments if available can assist in determining the tree’s pre-damaged condition and thus the pre-casualty value. There are several methods to determine a tree’s worth, but factors for tree appraisals include tree age, species, and condition, along with a couple of aspects considered for depreciation: external and functional limitations.
